View MoreWe can't continue to sacrifice society under the ruse of saving the health-care system. Sacrificing society is exactly what is happening now. We are sacrificing the elderly's golden years all in the name of saving them from that which according to the government's own numbers has a 99.9% survival rate. We're sacrificing our children by destroying their formative years. We're sacrificing our young people's lives by interfering with their ability to start a family or meet a spouse. We're sacrificing everyone's life in the name of saving the medicare system. The suicide rate is up sharply, and the full economic destruction hasn't even started to be realized yet. Children are talking about suicide all the time. A story in the newspaper said that 25% of teenagers reported having contemplated suicide in the past month. The elderly, especially those in care homes, are being reduced to nothing but a shell of their former selves all under the pretense of 'saving granny'. Working people are losing everything that they have spent their lifetime building. The resulting collapsed economy is going to rob all retired people of their savings and the retirement that they've dreamt of, strived towards and saved for will be nothing more than a distant memory. People are being allowed to die due to the medical system shutdowns; over the past months there have been countless unnecessary deaths due to the stoppage of all surgeries, treatments and testing. The emergency rooms sit empty as people have been made to be too afraid to seek help when they most need it. A nation is more than just it's medical system although, in this country, people don't seem to realize this fact. A nation is it's people, and at this time our people are being sacrificed under the guise of saving the medical system as if the medical system is all that matters. Day after day all we hear is that society must shut down to prevent the medical system from becoming overloaded, although in the past that never seemed to be a concern of the politicians since there was always plenty of money for wars and foreign aid and graft while everyone was fully aware that the medical system was stretched beyond the breaking point. Even now, after the government has spent billions (most of which is unaccounted for and we aren't allowed to ask about) there has been no improvement in services nor have any new facilities been built. It's come to the point where the people need to say "to hell with the medical system, if it collapses, so be it. A closed-down medical system serves no purpose anyway". It's ironic that the old adage of "the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few" is being used to justify lockdowns and curfews when in reality these measures are destroying the whole of society in a vain attempt to save the supposed 0.01% who are deemed to be at risk.

Being grateful is an essential attitude to nurture. It grows on itself and lowers stress among other things (like being contagious to others who are receptive). I know Dennis Prager has lectured on it before.
