Feb 25, 1836 – James Fannin, commander of a sizeable force of about 400 men at Goliad, receives William Travis' plea for aid. Fannin orders John M. Chenoweth and his Invincibles militia to abandon Copano and sends his company to hold the Cibolo in anticipation of Fannin's relief march to aid the Alamo defenders.
