September 13, 200813 years ago today, Hurricane Ike marches through Galveston Bay....Also, please do not underestimate tropical storms. Some of us here may remember T.S. Chantal back in August of 1989. I lived in Countryside South and my home flooded twice that year, both times from tropical storms. (Chantal has been designated as a hurricane now for some reason.)Be on guard and make sure you have your hurricane preparedness kits handy. And watch out for your neighbors, especially older folks - like me. 😉😁😂
