May 26Today is National Paper Airplane Day!And:National Blueberry Cheesecake DayNational Senior Health & Fitness DayFunny story - or at least I think so....I was working as a designer for Brown & Root years ago in a rented atrium office building off of 610 and 290 in Houston. A few of us were having a discussion about the merits of different paper airplane designs and how long they would stay aloft with no wind. We figured the atrium was the best place to figure it out, so each of us folded our designs and headed to the landing on the 8th floor where our drafting bays were located. We counted to three and let the planes sail - just in time to see our project manager and the client rep walk in the main entrance. As stealthily and possible, we crept back into the office and took our places, furiously pouring over the drafting boards and performing whatever task we had to look busy.We didn't get caught, but can only imagine what they thought when leaving the building and maybe having to step over half a dozen paper airplanes.
