Mar 26, 1836 - Col James Fannin and the Texans had been marched back to Goliad, imprisoned, and General José de Urrea assured them of their release. Upon hearing the terms of the Texans surrender, General Antonio López de Santa Anna countermanded them and issued orders for their execution.
