If you are wondering how the Russian Federation is governed here is some information. According to Wikipedia their Federal Assembly is the equivalent of the US Congress. It consists of the State Duma, which is the lower house, and the Federation Council, which is the upper house. At least eight different parties have members in the lower Duma. The Communist party holds about 16% of the seats.
