I just heard a political commentator on CBS News suggest that social media is responsible for the upheaval in Washington because it spreads misinformation and that it should be regulated so the all Americans have a common world view. This is the most frightening statement I have ever heard on national television. It would kill all real political discussion. Government for the people by the people would forever perish in in the USA.
